Committees

Budget
Develops the Annual Budget for the Society and present it for adoption by the Society. Holds public hearings and proposes to the Society recommendations for TIF funds.
Civic Relations
Responsible for maintaining contact with other neighborhood groups. Currently organizing the drives for an Area Commission and a Conservation District in Harrision West
Communications
Proposes policies for the newsletter and web site of the Society. Assists in preparing the newsletter and web site. Prepares and prints a brochure for the Society.
Consitution and Policy
Reviews all proposals for Constitutional revisions and new or revised policies
Membership
Maintains the mailing list of the Society. Mails 2 or 3 times a year a request to inactive members to re-join. Mails a reminder to all current and former members of renewal of memberships at the end of each year.
Parks and Green Space
Developes an annual plan that meets the objectives and commitments of the Society for the parks, public spaces right-of-ways, multi-use recreational trails and traffic calming fixtures. Maintains an inventory of all public and semi-public green spaces in Harrison West.
Planning and Development
Develops and maintain a long range document that meets the objectives of the Society and can be used to represent the Society’s goals and planning process and to review proposed projects, zoning changes/variances and report/recommend appropriate action by the Society
Social and Program
Organizes the annual Summer and Winter Parties. Shall provide programs for the monthly meetings.
Transportation
Considers traffic volumes, patterns and safety, as well as associated fixtures. A primary goal will be to minimize or mitigate adverse impacts on Harrison West.
